Even if it did not have a Michelin star, the food would have been described as ordinary at best - having a Michelin star made it that much worse. We had a three-course meal with tea & chocolates at the end. restaurant set in a small shopping street. We had given it a miss ever since then but decided to go there last week to see whether things have improved. We went to this restaurant a few times twenty years ago & didn't think much of it then. Then the menu was ok, nothing special, tasteful, but questionable if it worth the star.Īnyways, it was a first, we seem to be the exception in terms of experience looking at other reviews. Then we ordered a white wine and it wasn't cold, they served it nevertheless and I had to ask if they could cool the wine. We asked if we could sit somewhere else and were told we could sit there, but in the event a group of 4 (without reservation) would show up, they would have to bring us to the table that they had reserved for us. They then situated us right at the entrance of the kitchen, a very noisy area with a lot of draft. Then inside we had a table that was tiny and at the exit, so we asked if we could sit somewhere else. We had to attract the attention of the waiter to get this. We got that, but no serviette to go with it. We started outside with a glass of champagne with oysters. from perfect, and they should be at that (price) level: Let me start by saying that possibly the Covid times are not making it easier to provide a 1 star Michelin experience, but i nevertheless have been to a few lately that didn't have this level of experience.įirst of all, small things weren far.
